One of the best features of Canva is their huge library of assets – called “elements” – that includes graphics, photos, illustrations, and even gifs. The elements library is so robust, it may be overwhelming at first to know even what to search for.
That’s why I’ve curated a list of some Canva element keywords to help you find aesthetic elements.

What is Canva?
Canva is a graphic design tool that can help you create stunning and impactful designs for your social media, blog, YouTube channel, print materials, and more.
Free vs. Pro Elements
Canva’s elements library includes free and “Pro” elements. Pro elements are considered “premium” elements. They can be paid for individually if you have a free account, or you can get access to all of the pro elements (and more!) with the Canva Pro subscription. Access to pro elements is one of the many reasons why I think having a pro subscription is worth it. Learn more about some of my other favorite features of Canva Pro.
Celestial Feminist Aesthetic
The “Cosmic” Canva Pro keyword is perfect if you are looking for a modern witchy or celestial aesthetic. You’ll find a lot of fine line illustrations and feminine subjects leaning into their spirituality. There’s also a lot of crystals, sacred geometry, and sun and moon vibes.
Boho Minimalist Aesthetic
The “Ladystardust” keyword really captures the boho minimalist aesthetic. You’ll find lots of round shapes, fine lines, and balanced neutrals.
Fine Line Sun and Moon Aesthetic Canva Keyword
The “Solareclipse” keyword is another great aesthetic for celestial vibes and fine line graphics. You’ll find a lot of suns and moons with faces, moon phases, and even some vibey hands and cloud illustrations.
Painted Stained Glass Aesthetic Canva Keyword
The “Uniquebotanic” Canva keyword curates bright and vibrant natural elements, such as flowers, leaves, and more. It reminds me of stained glass in a lot of ways, and the elements blend boho and sophistication together well.
Hand-painted Natural Boho Aesthetic Canva Keyword
The “Universalscenery” Canva keyword elevates hand-painted neutrals with a hit of romance. You’ll find trees, leaves, geometric shapes and more.
Navy and Blush Watercolor Aesthetic Canva Keyword
If you are looking for a blue and pink aesthetic with a hint of texture, then the “Morningstories” Canva keyword is your ticket. It features a lot of watercolor elements, such as ink blots, arches, and rainbows.
Trippy Psychedelic Aesthetic Canva Keyword
I would like to see the finished creations of people who use the “Psychedelic” Canva keyword the most. If you are looking for elements to invoke an acid trip or you want people to wonder if they accidentally had some magic mushroom tea, then this keyword will not disappoint.
Hand-Painted Stylized Animal Aesthetic Canva Keyword
I could look at the results for the “Organic Animals” Canva keyword all day. These results teeter between realism and stylized design with a hand painted feel that features a wide variety of animals, from toucans to cows to flamingos to hedgehogs.
Geometric Lines Aesthetic Canva Keyword
Sometimes you just need some groovy lines to add something extra to your design, and the “Retro Lines” keyword will surely do the trick. You’ll find a range of line shapes, sizes, and colors.
Black and White Dark Academia Aesthetic Canva Keyword
The “Vintage Illustration” keyword is one of my personal favorites. All of these look as though they were created for an antique encyclopedia. These elements are giving dark academia vibes.
Watercolor Mountain Aesthetic
The “Forestequilibrium” keyword is moody, green, and natural. These watercolor elements will make you feel like you are in an enchanted forest, or lost somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
Watercolor Solar System Aesthetic
The “Nebula handpainted” Canva keyword is a focused keyword for hand drawn, organic parts of our solar system.
